To me, it is good to know that our congressmen/women are using up-to-date technology to get their views and opinions out on things. I also felt it was sort of funny to see how many people follow them on twitter, seeing them hav youTube accounts and Nancy Pelosi's comment, "If you aren't on Facebook, then you might as well be faxing."
What i think about that artical is that people spend way to much time caring about twitter's and Facebook's posts and comments. When the should have the attention set to a much greater cause, instead of being so worked up about social networking!
I would have to say, being social on media sights may have an effect weather people like you or dislike you. It also gives the person feedback if anyone really cares for the person or not. It also shows how "down to earth" a person can be, just by being on a media sight and sharing information.

This article shows how popular social networking is to our society today. These 4 congressmen update their twitters' or facebook pages pretty much everyday. I think it is good for them to be up-to-date on such technology, but I also think that sites such as twitter and facebook can take up much of your free time, which is not a good thing. So I think that there are both pros and cons from this.
I believe it is a good thing that congressman are using social networking to connect with their fans and followers. It is also a bad idea because people will say they are wasting time on facebook or twitter. But overall it is a good thing because it allows people to see even congressmen are normal people just like you and I.
It good that some of the politcal people are getting involved with all of the social networking. I just find it weird that you would get a link like this just by typing 'funnel cake' in Google. It just goes to show you when you are looking something up on Google, that the first sites that show up aren't always the best ones.
