9/11

There have been events that have occurred in history that people never forget. If you ask my mom, it was the day John F. Kennedy was assassinated. She could tell you many details of what she was doing on that particular day. My earliest memory of an event in history was when a man first walked on on the moon. I was 5 at the time. It was summer and we stayed up late to watch the walk on the only TV in the house. Yesterday was the 10th anniversary of the attacks on New York. What do you remember?

According to this article, the on-line blog gained popularity after the 9/11 attacks. Why? Take a few minutes to read the article. The on-line blog gained popularity because people realized posting in blogs is the fastest way to get several readers and viewers at a time. They started using blogs to get the information relayed faster and if something like 9/11 would ever happen again, blogs would be easier to use and would help tremendously.

I chose this blog because it simply reminds everyone of the devistation caused by 9/11. It allows people to post their opinion and tell about their thoughts or rememberings of 9/11 that they had. It was nice to read and see what other people have to say about it and the thoughts that come to mind when September 11th is celebrated.

9/11 blogs gained popularity after the attacks because blogs were a fast and effective way to get information out about what is happening.

I chose this blog because, when the attack happened the writer just happened to be at work in a building close enough to see everything heppening. The writer explained what happened, how he/she was feeling, and how emotional it was. The writer also posted what he/she experienced throughout the rest of the day and the next few days.

I chose Jenn Fred's 9/11 blog which you can view at http://www.myfoxphilly.com/dpp/good_day_philadelphia/jenn-fred%E2%80%99s-9_11-blog. I chose this blog because it shows the impact that 9/11 has had on both parents and children for ten years now. Since the 9/11 attack, people have been a lot more cautious when getting on a plane, especially on the day of the ten year anniversary. This blog was writeen by Jenn Fred on Septmeber 11, 2011.

9/11 created large popularity of blogs because it was an easy way to learn about what had happened. People would post a wide variety of stuff about the attacks, and it became poular very fast because it was such a tragic moment in our history.

I picked this blog because I like the paragraph how it explains that even though it was such a tragic event in history, and brought a lot of grief and suffering, that it united united a country against those determined to destroy us. And, that America is strong and won't be broken.

i chose this blog because it talks about ended up losing their lives or fighting for saving lives...
Ten years ago today, the world changed. Everyone has a story of where they were and what they were doing on September 11, 2001, and how it felt when it dawned on them that this was not only a terror attack, but an attack on a scale the world had never seen before.
Today is a day to remember. Remember those who ten years ago left home on what they thought would be a routine day and ended up losing their lives or fighting their way out of an inferno. Remember the raw courage and sacrifice of the firefighters, policemen, and ordinary citizens who did all they could to save the lives of others, sometimes at the cost of their own. Remember that the evil ideology of radical Islam that motivated the 9/11 attackers lives on in the world today, and that, even now, there are men in faraway, inhospitable places defending us against terrorists who would impose that ideology on the entire world.

After we got to the news we watched what happen and it was horrible to see. The on-line gained popularity because there was so many people that posted there feelings and thoughts.

http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/2011/09/paul_krugmans_9

I chose this blog because it was interesting to read what Paul Krugman had to say about the 9/11 attacks. He basically said that 9/11 has become a time for shame.

I was in second grade at sacred heart school. We went to the other class room and watched some of it on the news, but we didnt know the magnitude of it until much later. The teachers didnt explain much to us.

Blogs gained popularity after the 9/11 attacks took place because they gave a way people could share their thoughts and feelings about the attack.

I do not remember much at all of the 9/11 attack. All I remember was that my parents were very quiet for a week and I didn't know why, until they told me what was going on in the world. But, of course I was in preschool so I didn't have a care in the world at the time all I was worried about was coloring and finger painting.

http://buildpeace.blogspot.com/2011/09/remember.html

I picked this blog because it made me think about things very differently. The way she said "Things don't last. Things vanish. But memories are different. We keep them and review them in grief, and for comfort, until they are worn smooth into polished icons of remembrance." I thought that it was said very well, and that she was right.

At the time of the attack, i was 4. So i dont remember a thing except that i was in preschool.

The on-line blog gained popularity after the 9/11 attacks because many americans wanted to share their stories with the world, or to post important news flashes or witness accounts on what happened.

I picked my blog i found because it goes over what is happening now and including links to the information its putting out, so you can follow where 9/11 has had its effect.

I found many good 9/11 blogs on here. What I remember most about the attacks on the world trade center was our teacher, Mrs. Lonsberry, turning on the television in our science class and seeing her cry.

This blog is about a woman who was awakin on 9/11/01 by the thundering sound of the first plane hitting the tower. She looked out her window of her apartment to see the horrific sight. She ran from her apartment (which was only a few blocks away) to see what had happend, not knowing what to do or what was about to come. This related to me because at the time I was also confused and did not know what was going to happen to all the people in those towers.
