Let's Talk Typos
I made a typo on my last blog post. Hate when I make a typographical error. Most of the time I attribute my typos to being in a hurry and not going back and re-reading and checking before printing or posting. Last week there was a news story about a typographical error on a cereal box. See if you can Google and find the story. What can you do to make sure your assignments are error free?

Ochocinco oblviously didnt re-read his cereal box before sending it out. Most people are in a hurry when typing because most of the time they have better things to be doing at that time.

You can go back and re-read it to make sure it's right. You can check spelling on words you think you don't know how to spell the word. You can watch the words you're spelling and slow down a little bit when you're typing so you don't make a typo.

Wow, Ochocinco must have had an awkward meeting with that good 'ol typo. Having a sex line as your phone number is one of the classiest typographical errors in the history of mankind. But, on to the question. Portraying myself as a relatively intelligent young man, I proofread everything twice before posting to remove any chance of my intellect taking a punishing hit. I believe a proper elloquence and use of correctly spelled words shows your stance in the educational spectrum. Obviously NFL receivers and their PA "homeboys" lack the essential tools of propoganda. Way to get the right number on the box boys, I salute you. ;)

Well, a typical error can be a real slap to the face in some way. But anyways to Ochocinco graphic mistake it is always better to at least check your work and check it again, and again. Now to prevent these "mistakes" happen it is always healthy to have other people check your work after you of course check it, and of course to know what number it actually is. Way to go Ocho.

You should always go over your work many times and make sure it is correct. You should use spell check. ochocinco says its not his fault, but whoever printed it on all the cereal boxes should of ccalled to make sure it was for feed the kids foundation instead of a sex line!

So that story is crazy. Before he printed it, he should have went back and checked the number. So many children eat cereal, and look all over the box. When doing assignments people should use spell check, and always re-read what has been typed just for this storys reason.

To start that is just funny like 10 for 10 on a funny chart and as fall as typos go if your job calls for correct typing or spelling LEARN TO SPELL! I have seen this before but it was a title of a store and the sigh said KIDSEXCHANGE and im sure the sighn should of said KIDS EXCHANGE (for toys and cloths and such) but typos are just really funny to me

The people should have called the number to check if they were putting the right number on instead of a sex line number.

What i would do to make my assignments error free is check it before it print/ turn it in to my teacher. Or you could use the simple spell check that comes with the software. Most the of the time i do the same thing, i just don't take my time and try to hurry up on my project.

Ochocinco should of looked over the cereal box before sending it out to millions of stores. He probably was to busy and had someone else look over it for him. If I called the number expecting to help children and a sex line instead I would of probably laughed, but for him it's embarrssing. Ochocinco should have checked over the cereal box before he chose to send it out to millions of people around the world. Instead of checking it over himself he probably had someone else check over it for him because he didn't want to and made the error. You should always check over your work. And you should always use spell check.

He obviously did not read the box i mean i wouldnt.It could have been any number it just happend to be a sex-line. I highly doubt a little kid called this number i eat cereal and i dont read the box. You can prevent spelling errors by using spell check.

You can go back through and go over the passage and see if there is any misspelled words, wrong puncuation and capitalization. Type slow if you have to so you dont make any typos.

I feel ochocinco should have gone back and re-read there typing before they sent it to print. Not just ochocinco but every one should always re-read what they type so misfourtunes like this won't acquire.
he should have re-read what the box said and make sure it was appropriate. I'd say typo's are the result of typing to fast or not paying attention to what your typing.

Ochocinco probably made this mistake while trying to rush to get things done. He is a very busy man. Its very important to check your work, and check it again! It doesnt take that much time, and he could have saved himself alot of embarrassment!! To save yourself of typographical errors i would recommend spell check and if you are using words you are unsure of how to spell look it up!

To make sure my assisnments are error free, I can recheck them and spellcheck them if applicable. I personally think though that this error was not a bit shocking and that most football players are complete morons, as this case shows.

The story is about a typo on Chad Ochocinco's Cereal boxes. It was orginally supposed to be a phone number diected to Feed the Children, which benefits for sales on the Cincinnati Bengals wide reciever. Instead the phone number was to a sex line.. whoever did this defiently should've checked the number before sending it world wide..

Simple, use spell check. I'm sure you can use spell check if you have it on your computer because it comes up underlind in red. Or theres some computers that spell it out for you if you miss spell something or don't spell something out all the way. Most people have dead lines when they type something or they have better things to do so they don't re-read what they write.
