This article in The Coshocton Tribune tells about a high school in Cincinnati that went through some major changes. Read the article and give me your thoughts.

Its pretty shameful that even were in disgust of this facility, but it was very extradonary on how the students took matters into their own hands to change this schools reputation.
I firmly belive High School education should be looked at the way they do at Taft. An overhaul of educational platforms is essential to having true benefits and growth for young people, in my opinion. High school in America is an inefficient system. It's inspirational to see how a school that was once a mockery to the state of Ohio can turn it around and do something truly spectacular for future generations.

12040- I think its a good thing that Taft High School offered tutoring in the Caferteria for the OGT and every student in the tutoring programed passed! Tafted really did change the percentage in graduating. 21% to a 95% is a huge difference in the better.
A tech school would be pretty neat. Im all for a tech school. They might be harder because of all the technology that you have to use but you would also think it would be easier because technology makes all our lives easier.It was very responsible for those students to want to change their schools reputation.I think it is remarkable how that school went from only 21% graduating to 95%. So therefore i realy do think a tech school is a very good idea.
For a school to go from ohio's worst in dropout rates to a technology school is impressive. The hard work that the staff put in payed off, both academically and athletically. It's great they had a chance to commit themselves to re-building this school. They are very fortunate to have a program as such.
11256 Obviously the tech school idea worked for Taft High School. Going from 21% to 95% graduation rate seems unrealistic yet they were able to accomplish it. I respect that the students were able to help out and make a whole new reputation for there once unsuccessful school.
12015- Well this is how I see it, If the school was that horrible and students had tarible grades. Then maybe the big change in the school was good for them. I don't really care for tech schooling, So I don't really care for it. In a way I guess if the school was really that bad, It was amazing and very responsible for those students to wan't to change their schools reputation.
It's good to see that some people stepped up and made the needed changes to make this school better. I'm sure turning a school that was refered to as an "insane asylum" into an excelent rated school was not easy.
It's wonderful that the community and students could enrich the school the way they have. This proves to all others schools not to complain because there is schools out there worse than yours. Do something about it and get things changed.

12065 I think it's sad that school officals had let the school get that bad. They should have fixed the problem a long time ago. What about all the students who dropped out already or got bad grades because the school was in poor shape. I think it was a good idea that they fixed the problem before anymore students ruined their education.
For a High School to go from test scores at a 21% from a 95%, I think it is quite impressive. It is good for the school to be well prepared so the following generations that will be attending the school will keep the same test scores up. I also think that it is a good thing for their athletics to have changed so well.

I think its great a school can turn around like that. It really gives me faith that anyone can get good grades with the right modivation.
